Moves are an element in most games. A move consists of swapping candies to make a match.
Most level types have a limited number of moves to complete the objective.
Candy Crush Super Saga[]
In Super Saga, when you make a match, you'll always lose a move. You can get 9 more moves at the begin by using boosters.
T9CCS[]
Each level has a number of moves varying from 1 to 100. However, there hasn't yet been a level with less than 5 moves.
CCR[]
Each level has varies of moves from 10 to 100. There will never be any level with less than 10 moves. When you run out of moves, you can use gold to buy 10 extra moves each time.
In Insaneworld, each level has at least 5 moves and up to 60. Using the same amount of gold will get only 5 moves instead of 10.

In Unfair Candy Crush Saga, most non-timed, non-underestimate levels have 15 to 40 moves, though sometimes it can go under 10 or over 60. The highest amount is currently 145 moves, held by Level 145. Timed levels rely on, well, time, and underestimate levels have an infinite move count.
Until the introduction of extra moves candies (as well as minus moves candies) in Level 991, it is impossible to refill the move counter in any way.
